Types of Scholarships for Women
There is great news for all the women who are trying to pursue their dream of going to college. Because the goverment tries to erase the inequalities between men and women in the business world they are offering many scholarhsips for women. There are many specialized scholarships for women that are over a certain age old, belong to a minority or scholarship that have specific goals in mind like education for leading positions, currently male dominated jobs like engeneering jobs, doctoral programs or nursing jobs and many more. These college student grants are a great way for women to get through university without the big expenses that come with student loans or any other non federal financing.
Many of these scholarships for women have the goal to integrate women into the work life after finsishing their education. Thats why some of the scholarships for women are designed to award femal students that show very good qualification, entrepreneurial spirit or leadership abilities. But of course there are also many scholarships available for women who have been out of school for a longer time and want to return to finish there studies or are just starting out in higher education. Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships are awarded to women studying at business at the undergraduate level and who have shown excelent qualifications in their field. Emerge Scholarship Program
Application Deadline: 7th of January
The Emerge Scholarships Inc. (Emerge) scholarship program has awarded over 100,000 $ in educational money to students since its foundation in 2001.The jury is concentratet on women who are outstanding in their field and show engagement and spirit in their field.
SWE Scholarship Program
Application Deadline: 15th February
The SWE Scholarship Program gives support to females admitted to ABET/CSAB accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in the fields of engineering, engineering technology or computer science. Award letters are anounced in the summer and fall for the payout during the next semester. Check their website for more information
Jeannette Rankin Foundation Scholarship
Application Deadline: 1st March
The Jeannette Rankin Foundation awards scholarships to U.S. femals with a low income that are 35 years or older. If these women show that they have a vision of how a college education can benefit their career they are eiligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is open to women pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree.
Student Award for the Health and Dignity of Women
Application Deadline: 10th December
The Student Award for the Health and Dignity of Women will recognize one student who shows commitment and fights for equality and rights of women.
